Feeling Alone

With the clock counting down, I could only sit watching for a miracle comeback... yet the comeback was nowhere in sight.

Being engaged is suppose to be one of the most wonderful times of a person's life... and yet it seems even in the happiest of moments someone or something is still trying to bring us down...

When things seem to be going badly, we often wonder where God is, and if He is really going to keep His promises. The truth is, God not only keeps His promises, but does it in a way that is more amazing and wonderful than we could ever imagine... even if at the moment it seems He has completely forgotten about us...

With so many challenges in life, it is very easy for us to want to take charge and try to handle everything ourselves, but in the end we find ourselves worse off, and crying for the Help of the Lord, who is always faithful...

Death is something that continuously intrigues the human mind... so much so that we are surrounded by movies concerning the afterlife, books explaining the afterlife, and even philosophers trying to explain it... yet there's one Book that gives a clear definition, and tells whether we as Christians should be fearful of what many claim to be "the unknown..."

Sometimes it isn't easy for us to trust God, and these are usually the times where we need to trust Him the most...

Have you ever felt like no one understands you, or that you are all alone? Have you ever wondered what to do next, or even if it was worth the struggle?

Have you ever prayed to God for something, only to be left wondering if God was even listening?

Sometimes we feel out of touch with God, or we look at all of the terrible things happening in the world and ask how a loving God could let them happen... sometimes we wonder if God is really keeping His promises, and if He is still even there...

God calls for us to be "peculiar," a word that means to be odd, unique, eccentric... but in the same way light becomes peculiar in the dark...

With gas prices around $4 a gallon, foreclosures on the rise, and the price of necessities such as food and electricity increasing, many families are struggling to survive. Struggling to keep food on the table, and a roof over their heads... and some families are at the breaking point, a point where they are waiting for the final notice on their home. A point where they are asking "how a loving God could let this happen..."

Sometimes it seems our relationship with God is at a stand still, that we're not improving, or that God's just not there for us... sometimes it's easy for us to feel like giving up and moving on...

Of all the ways God could have come to the earth as a man, why did He come as a carpenter... a nobody?

We are often able to focus on all the bad things that happen in our lives, the things that make us cry, mourn, and sometimes even question life and God's will for us... yet we often forget how blessed we are, and all the joy that God has brought into our life...

We all experience these types of storms, maybe not being in the sea and having waves crash against our boat, but we experience it in different forms. Here we are, sailing along in life, and then something unexpected and violent occurs. Maybe we lose our job, or worse, the loss of a family member... one of the hardest storms we face is depression... when we start to give up hope...
Luke 10:25-37
[25] And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? [26] He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? [27] And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. [28] And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. [29] But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? [30] And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. [31] And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. [32] And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. [33] But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, [34] And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. [35] And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. [36] Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? [37] And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
Matthew 28:19-20
[19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
